I'd like to, personally, thank and welcome all of those who have returned, or are just joining Glitch PC.
It's been a long, hard road...and as all roads well traveled...there have been a few bumps here and there.
Due to some personal reasons...Glitch PC has taken on quite a few faces. We've changed domain names and hosts, as well as forum software on a couple of different occasions...which has made some of our regulars...well...a little weary. I can certainly understand this...and offer up my sincerest apologies for any inconvenience and disappointment this may have caused our previous members.
Our new host, a former boss and great friend, has offered to host the site...for life. I thank him deeply...from the bottom of my heart. I'm not sure if I can ever repay him for his kindness. I only hope he knows how much I appreciate what he has done for me, as well as this community.
The site will be using SMF software...which most users have told me is the easiest and most familiar. So...rest assured...no major changes to the software are planned...other than adding a portal to the board, as well as live support.
Live support will be handled through the site's integrated Ajax Chat software...however, we'll be needing people to monitor it. This may take some time...depending on which old Staff members return...or new members (with experience) who show interest. The integrated chat is only available to registered members.
I'd like to see Staff participate as much as humanly possible to incorporate some content into the site. Remember...this has always been a site built my its members.
Now...I understand we all have our own lives to live and maybe even your own websites to maintain. I'm not asking you to give your full attention to this site...just a little piece of it.
This site currently has an Administrator and Global Moderator. As time goes by and new members join...Staff positions may open. Please...don't ask. If we're interested in you...we'll approach you. I can understand there are some of you who feel you have enough experience and want to contribute. If you feel you do, you can send me a PM (Private Message) and I will look into it. However...please don't be upset if your request is denied. This doesn't mean you can never have a Staff position...it just means "not at this time". Who knows...we may need you at a later date...if you're still willing.
